More projects, more problems


0.1.6 has been released!

Here is the changelog:

  • Two projects now appear per turn when the halfway point through Transcendence is reached
  • Projects now have a cleaner layout (thanks to Vik2or in Discord for the mod!)
  • Fixed missing Illinois project art
  • New artwork for Trebuchet Based Space Shuttle projects
  • Replaced Lemon Deadly Sins art
  • Emergency Mustard Delivery buffed
  • More News headlines (the News never stops)
  • Added more inspiring business quotes

The two big changes are that we add more projects into the game after the halfway point. This should be considered an experiment. I don't believe it is the right solution but we wanted to test it and it was quick to do. Isn't it fun being a part of project this early on? Or maybe we will always be changing things like this even after we call the game "done".

The second big change is a new project layout UI from our friend Vik2or in Discord!

We love to see folks already experimenting with mods in our Discord's #modding channel and we knew we wanted to integrate this one into the core game as soon as we saw it. Vik2or moved the deadline to the top right and gave it a clock-like visualization. Then the progress indicator was moved to below the artwork and was given a "pill" or tick box like representation. We had been wanting to do that for weeks now.

So, what's next? Well, we are still figuring that out!

On my end, I want to add more events to the game but that will first require design work to figure out how to select events (it is purely random right now which won't work given my vision of how events work longterm).

And I know Top wants to implement a "codex" to track progress in the game in various ways. And of course, we will continue to squash bugs, improve UI, and tweak the game balance.
